(grades 8-12) teacher certification. If you have a science, mathematics,
social science, English, or language arts related degree, you can
be prepared and teaching in a secondary classroom in 18 months.
As an Accelerate Online student, you’ll access web-based
learning modules from Texas A&M’s eEmpowerment Zone (elearning
center). All modules are self-paced with guidance from eZone facilitators.
While completing the online instruction, you’ll spend 40
clock-hours in a supervised “early field experience” in
a secondary school.
After your field experience, we will help you find a two semester
paid internship as an entry-level teacher in a high-need school.
Throughout your internship, a mentor and university supervisor
will support you.
