SCR*TEC- Texas invites the instructional leaders from each of the Educational Service Centers to ESC Intensive '99 on November 1-3, 1999.  The ESC technology intensive will include a tour of the Texas A&M University - GTE Center for Distance Learning Research (CDLR), and hands-on training and unlimited access to nationally recognized, online, instructional tools and resources.  These resources are available to districts across the regions at no charge.  The intensive sessions will also spotlight online professional development solutions and resources.  Presentations from the Florida Online High School, Classroom Connect and NSBRI (a NASA based project that includes an exciting array of electronic life science materials for use in any health or science class) will be included in our spotlight sessions.  In addition, each participant will be given a customized report of the 1996 and 1998 SCR*TEC-TASA Levels of Use of Technology in Texas Public Schools results for their specific region.
