Description of the Survey The survey consists of thirty-seven questions relating to the technology infrastructure of the district both as to the equipment being used and how it is being used.  The survey was mailed to 1043 district superintendents during the Fall of 1998.  A total of 789 surveys were submitted from 75.6% of the school districts in Texas. Purpose of the Survey The purpose of the 1998 survey is a follow-up to the 1996 baseline survey of the technology infrastructure in the public schools of Texas.  In addition, this survey will establish  some of the ways technology is currently being used and what plans exist for future improvements.     Comparison  Results of 1996 and 1998
